THE STORY
The meet-cute happened when Clarissa and Ricky laid eyes on each other in the elevator of Summer 2010, noticing that the other was wearing a similar denim shirt to their own. The small talk from the elevator grew into weekly lunches during the workweek, resulting in a genuine friendship. Although they eventually lost touch, Ricky slid into Clarissa’s Linkedin DMs three years later, and she eagerly responded with a “YES, when can we meet?”.
That wasn’t the last time Clarissa said “yes”. She said “yes” to moving to Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn, in 2017 and one more time when he proposed in North Carolina on May 25th, 2019. Three years and one zoom wedding later, the two are ready to celebrate in person.
The story doesn’t stop there, but it wouldn’t have been the same without the beautiful relationships among our families and friends in Los Angeles, New York, and now Raleigh. We feel so lucky to be in your lives and hope to use this time to celebrate us and you as well.
